|Description|| Eartheasy is a family-owned business focused on providing products for sustainable living. After graduating from university, owner Greg Seaman accepted a supervisory role of the Centennial Exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History. Inspired by an exhibit that highlighted the impact of our modern lifestyles on the health of the environment, he and his family transitioned into a life of self-sufficiency (off-grid.) During this time Greg learned about gardening, composting, home-efficiency, food preservation, non-toxic home care, alternate energy, natural pest control and more.
In the spring of 2000, Greg launched Eartheasy. The goal was simple: to encourage, inspire and inform people about the benefits of a simpler, less material lifestyle, and the importance of protecting our natural environment as the source of our well-being. With help from his family, Eartheasy has become a leading retailer of products for sustainable living.
Eartheasy has been referenced in numerous books on sustainable living, including An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore. They've also been featured in many websites, blogs, and mainstream magazines such as Businessweek and Newsweek. In 2003, Eartheasy was named one of 10 finalists in the Stockholm Challenge, an international award program for websites which benefit humanity.
